Arts Council England's music hub investment process aims to enhance music education and access across England by supporting partnerships that deliver high-quality music services. The local authorities of Durham, Darlington, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside, and Sunderland have formed a consortium to spearhead the new North East Music Hub. This collaborative initiative is designed to effectively support the delivery of the National Plan for Music Education in the North East, ensuring that all children and young people in the region have increased opportunities to engage with and benefit from music education.
